seamus67 is the brainchild of Bob Oettl who is responsible for all content. Bob is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, percussion, keyboards and programming) who records everything in his Basement Cave Studio in Pottsville, PA. The seamus67 sound is guitar-based, layered and dissonant with underlying melodies and overtones.

After twenty-plus years of songwriting, guitar playing and jamming with various bands, including Poleline, The Dryspells, The Setbacks, and Circumstances (a Rush tribute band), Bob began recording instrumentals. seamus67 brings an indie sensibility to instrumental guitar music, contrasting melody with noise, drenching everything in reverb and blurring the lines between jazz, pop and prog rock.

Many instrumental artists seem to veer towards sleepy new-age or jazz fusion/metal shredders. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but seamus67 attempts something else. The focus is on originality, artistry, experimentation and improvisation.
